In the run-up to COP26 – the biggest global summit on Climate since COP21 was held in Paris in 2015 – join us for a conversation with Nigel Topping, who will share his unique perspective on how companies and investors are participating in this important process.

Nigel Topping

UN Climate Action Champion for COP26

Mr. Nigel Topping was the CEO of We Mean Business until December 2019, where he drove radical collaboration for climate action among NGOs working with the world's most influential businesses.  This coalition played a key role in bringing the constructive voice of business in support of the Paris Agreement and, under Nigel's leadership has continued to drive ambition and action to accelerate the transition to a zero carbon economy.

Nigel is a commissioner on the Energy Transitions Commission and has been instrumental in the launch of many collaborative initiatives such as Science Based Targets, Business for Nature and the Global Commons Alliance.

Amelia Pan

Partner, Advisor on ESG, London

Amelia’s primary focus at Brunswick is to provide advice and develop solutions for clients on ESG. She delivers strategic counsel to global corporations on issues ranging from investor expectations, climate finance, regulatory developments and best practice corporate reporting.

Amelia works with Brunswick’s clients - including FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies, and international NGOs – to focus their sustainability efforts on areas of the greatest business materiality, providing a platform for commercial leadership and mitigating business and reputational risks. Amelia is the creator and host of the ESG Agenda podcast.

Phil Drew

Partner, Advisor on Corporate Climate Leadership, London

Phil is part of Brunswick’s Business & Society practice. He has advised some of the world’s largest businesses, banks and asset managers on their corporate climate leadership. He is a special advisor to Nigel Topping, the UNFCCC Climate Action Champion for COP26, and the UN Race to Zero, the world’s largest net zero alliance of cities, regions, investors and companies. He is also part of the Corporate Advisory Group for We Mean Business, the world’s largest coalition of corporate climate leaders.

He joined Brunswick from the Omnicom-owned corporate communications consultancy, Fishburn, where he was a Board Director and Head of Sustainable Business communications. In his time there, Phil advised global clients including Nestle, Shell, SABMiller, BT and Novartis. He previously directed communications for Climate Week, a campaign backed by the UK Government, Al Gore and Kofi Annan.
