Yasmin Brooks

Yasmin advises clients globally on their cyber and data risks, resilience and crisis response. Prior to joining Brunswick, Yasmin held a number of senior roles in the UK government.

She is the former DG for digital and media at Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Yasmin also brings extensive experience in policy-making and regulation from her time at the UK Cabinet Office, where she led on a wide range of national cyber and data incidents. She produced the UK’s current five-year National Cyber Security Strategy and delivered the UK’s Data Protection Act.

Danny Myburgh

Danny specialises in digital forensic investigations, data fraud trend analysis, incident response, e-discovery services and litigation support services. 

Danny established and commanded the SA Police Services’ National Computer Crime Investigation Unit (2000-2002).  He chaired the Interpol African Working Party on Cyber Crime (2002-2005) and represented Africa on the Interpol International Steering Committee on Cyber Crime.  Danny also chaired the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Cyber Forensic Forum (2011-2016 and since 2018) and was a member of the BRICS Expert Working Group on Cyber Security.

Christopher MacRoberts

Chris MacRoberts is a Legal Director at Clyde & Co in Johannesburg. He helps clients who are facing complex cyber incidents, including incident response, advising as breach counsel, guiding ransom negotiations and liaising with cyber insurers.

Chris is an experienced litigator and specialist attorney dealing with insurance, cyber fraud, data protection and related issues. Chris and the Clyde & Co cyber team co-ordinate incident response on significant data breach and ransomware attacks. Chris regularly assists cyber insurers and their clients in preparing for, managing and resolving cyber-related events.

Marina Bidoli

Marina has extensive experience in crisis and corporate reputation advisory work. She has led on multiple cyber preparedness and crisis response mandates across the TMT, healthcare, financial services and other industry sectors.

Prior to joining Brunswick, Marina headed Group Communication at Sasol. She was also an award-winning ICT journalist and business editor at the Financial Mail.
