VARO Energy was at a pivotal moment in its 10-year history. Led by a new CEO, VARO wanted to announce a new strategy to be the partner of choice for customers in the energy transition. It needed help with creating a corporate positioning, celebrating its past and galvanising excitement for an ambitious carbon-free future.
We crafted VARO’s new purpose, vision, mission and values ensuring the positioning stayed true to its legacy of entrepreneurial agility and deep operational excellence whilst simultaneously embodying VARO’s ambition for the future.
To announce the new corporate positioning and strategy, we created corporate, employee and investor presentations as well as a set of employee event collateral, an ESG narrative, purpose film, launch press release and website. Following that, we delivered press and digital advertising to launch the new strategy with the headline “Accelerating growth. Accelerating low carbon”. Coverage included a press ad on the front page of the FT as well as digital media ads in FT.com, LinkedIn and Twitter. In terms of media exposure, we organised interviews for the CEO, Dev Sanyal, with the FT, Reuters, Guardian, Bloomberg and Energy Intelligence.
The new positioning was well received by investors, employees and customers. The advertising has been seen by C-suite executives in oil companies, government and investment banking over 10m times on digital channels. Over 30,000 C-suite executives have followed through to learn more on the VARO website.
