2017’s Exhibition Road Quarter opening was a milestone moment for the V&A, revealing the Museum’s largest architectural intervention in over 100 years.
The V&A’s development created a sequence of dynamic new spaces and a major new entrance, reconnecting the V&A with its surrounding area and neighbours on Exhibition Road, London. The launch also coincided with the appointment of a new Director. We provided ongoing messaging and strategic advice to support the beginning of a new chapter for the museum. Alongside our media, digital and social media campaigns for the V&A Exhibition Road Quarter, we ran a multiple stranded campaign to generate interest and attendance at REVEAL – a week-long festival to celebrate the opening. By engaging key audiences via the museum’s channels and online influencers, we secured over 250k Facebook Live video views, and a trending Twitter hashtag. The launch generated significant media coverage with more than 150 journalists attending previews and over 220 key articles.
