The consumer industries are uniquely high profile, and Tim’s deep knowledge of these markets helps clients navigate the high level of scrutiny and complex stakeholder environment they face, while also taking advantage of the communications opportunities this high profile brings. His experience ranges from transactions and IPOs through to corporate narrative and campaigns work, and he also has extensive experience of supporting clients with issues management and crisis situations.
Tim was based in China with Brunswick for two years and having returned to London in 2017, continues to support Chinese companies as they go global, helping them navigate what is an increasingly complex and challenging political, regulatory and media environment.
Prior to joining Brunswick Tim worked as a journalist, with senior roles in leading specialist publications in the retail and real estate sectors, including as editor of Retail Week from 2005 to 2011, during which time he became recognised as a leading expert in the industry. Outside Brunswick Tim is a director of the Great Britain China Centre, a non-departmental government body affiliated to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which exists to strengthen engagement between the UK and China, and also works with BBC Media Action, the BBC’s international development charity.
