Errol brings almost three decades of strategic communications, public relations and crisis management experience across the public and private sector.

Most recently, he was SVP, Communications at MSNBC, where he was responsible for setting the organization’s communications and media strategy. Prior to that, he was SVP, New York Corporate and Public Affairs within Edelman’s global crisis and reputation risk management practice, advising multinationals on a range of issues.

Errol has also served in various government roles, including as Press Secretary to former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer and his successor, David Paterson. He was Chief of Staff and Communications Director to the Democratic leader of the New York State Senate and led communications for the state’s chief economic development agency. Errol began his career as a journalist at the Los Angeles Times, the Hartford Courant and later, Newsday, where he was Statehouse Bureau Chief. 

Errol received a B.A. in English and Journalism from Stony Brook University.
